NEEDLES
Circular needles 6 mm (US 10) (40 and 80/100 cm) and 8 mm (US 11) (40 and 80/100 cm). If you do not use magic loop-technique at the sleeves, you can use double pointed needles instead, size 6 (US 10) and 8 mm (US 11).

The sweater is worked from the top down, casting on at the neck. First, the back piece is worked back and forth, then both shoulders are worked separately before they are joined to form a front piece. The bodice is worked in the round in stockinette stitches, and finished with working short rows to extend and round the back of the bodice before a double ribbed edge is worked. The sleeves are then worked, and finally stitches are picked up around the neck opening which are worked round in double rib. All ribbed edges are finished with double knitting and Italian cast off for a nice result.
The sizes are calculated based on a positive ease of approximately 33 cm, which you add to your own chest measurement. The pattern follows body measurements of: 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm.
Example: If your bust measures 93 cm, add 33 cm = 126 cm. This is equivalent to a size M, which will give you a positive ease of 31 cm.
The model in the picture has a bust measurement of 83 cm (33 cm positive ease according to body measurement) and is wearing a size XS with a length of 61 cm measured mid back, and 47 cm measured mid front. Measurements excl. ribbed neck edge. The sweater is worked in Alpaca1 color 30, Soft color E8s and Jensen Yarn color 86.
