The sweater is thick and warm and has an oversized fit. It is knitted top-down, starting with the Provisional Cast On technique at the neck (if desired, a regular cast-on can be used). The back piece is knitted first, followed by the shoulders. The body is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with a ribbed edge. Then the sleeves are knitted, and finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline, which is knitted in the round. All ribbed edges are finished with double stockinette stitch and an Italian bind-off.
Yarn
The sweater is knitted in either three strands of Ballerina Chunky Mohair, or one strand of Ballerina Chunky Mohair with one strand of Børstet Alpakka. You may of course use another quality of yarn, just make sure to meet the gauge.
Find the right size
If you have a bust measurement of, for example, 93 cm, add 45 cm = 138 cm, which corresponds to size M. Size M will then give a positive ease of 47 cm. If a smaller ease is desired, you can choose to knit a smaller size.
The model in the picture has a bust measurement of 83 cm (57 cm positive ease for the sweater compared to bust measurement), and is wearing size M. The sweater is knitted in Ballerina Chunky Mohair (3 strands) from Sandnes Garn in color 4315 (Bubblegum Pink) and color 8733 (Spring Green).
